HOW TO OBTAIN A WORK PERMIT:
A work permit is a legal document required by the state of California that allows a person under 18 years of age to hold a job. You must have good attendance and be academically eligible (2.0 GPA or Higher).
Follow these steps in obtaining a work permit:
1. To access the form, go to http://www.cde.ca.gov/ci/ct/we/documents/b1-1frm.doc
2. Completely fill out the personal information at the top of the application, have your prospective employer fill out the information required in the middle portion and sign, and have a parent or guardian sign the bottom portion of the application.
3. Email, Fax or mail the completed work permit application to the main office, attention Debbra Moser, [email protected] where the work permit will be processed.
4. The work permit will be mailed directly to the employer unless other instructions for pickup are provided.
